How I started my fitness journey.
In 2017 I took my first pole dance class at the tender young age of 42.
It was a big step to try pole dance as a middle aged woman with bit of a belly and a few dimples in places they didn’t belong; but suddenly I was sexy and strong and confident. I had NO PREVIOUS DANCE EXPERIENCE - not even as a child. Now I have achieved my certifications with multiple companies and styles and am pursuing all manner of workshops and continuing education to grow my style and be the best instructor I can. My hope is to pass it on in an accessible, inclusive manner.
I currently offer Personal Training Services and (LIVE ONLINE) Liquid Motion (Floor and Pole), Cardio Chair, Choreography Classes, Flexibility Flow Classes, and Conditioning Classes. Most of my classes DO NOT REQUIRE A POLE.
I have my signature one-on-one coaching program Embrace Your Magic, that can help take you to the next level of fitness, regardless of your current modality of movement - to include couch potato! The next round starts in September- don’t miss it, once I get my Personal Trainer Cert this summer, it won’t be priced this low again!
I have worked hard to ensure you have the best experience -
NCCPT Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) ; Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSTS)
Pole Specific Certs: Level 2 PoleStrong Strength and Conditioning Specialist; Body By Fran TTM Elite; Liquid Motion® 1.0, 2.0, Heels, and Pole; XPERT Fitness Flexibility Flow; Moxie Movez Senior Pole Fitness; Cleo’s Rock N Pole Exotic Burn and Showgirl Spin Pole; Chair Dance Express; Mindfulness and Meditation.
What was I doing before dancing?
I wanted to be an athletic trainer in high school, but instead, I went into the Air Force Reserves as a Medic. Shortly thereafter, I spent 26 years traveling the world as a U.S. Air Force spouse. We were stationed in Illinois (had my son), Japan, Maryland, Italy (my daughter was born here), Nebraska, Germany, then landed here in Virginia before my husband retired in 2020. I had multiple careers in all those moves - bartender, bar manager, vault supervisor, club manager, Kirkland’s assistant store manager, Realtor, Sprint store manager, BMW salesperson, and then finally I became a Budget Analyst for the U.S. Air Force in Germany, then for the U.S. Army here by day, and of course, a fitness instructor by night. I attained my Personal Trainer certification at 50, and feel like I have completed what I thought I would all those years ago. I hope to work with you soon! ~Teri
